Member Activity and Usage Data
Member features remember the actions you take so the product can work: recipes you like or save, collections you create, personal notes you write, and counters for features with usage limits (for example, how many recipes you have imported this month). Personal notes and saved items are private to your account and are never shown to other visitors. We use aggregate engagement data (such as which recipes are saved most) to decide what content to create next.
Site Analytics
We keep our own first-party record of how the site is used — for example which pages and recipes are viewed, what is searched for on the recipes page, how Cook Mode and other recipe tools are used, and whether a visit came from a search engine, social media, or one of our emails or messages (including links we send in Instagram and Facebook replies). Visits are grouped by a random identifier kept only in your browser tab for that visit — not by your IP address, an advertising cookie, or your account. We use this information in aggregate to improve Simply Jade, never sell it, and delete it after 13 months. We also use Google Analytics to understand site traffic.
Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your profile and the personal data associated with it from our active systems. Newsletter subscriptions are managed separately — unsubscribing is always available via the link in every email or from your account settings.
