Dumpling Bake is my go-to for those crazy weeknights when I need a delicious meal on the table fast. With just a few simple ingredients thrown together, I can satisfy my family's cravings without spending an hour in the kitchen. The combination of tender gyoza and creamy coconut sauce is a total winner, and my kids love it — especially when I add the crunchy toppings!

Instructions

  1. Add coconut milk, Soyaki sauce, red curry sauce, minced garlic, and baby spinach to a baking dish.

  2. Mix everything together until the sauce is well combined.

  3. Nestle the frozen gyoza potstickers into the sauce.

  4. Cover the dish and bake at 400°F for 35 minutes.

  5. Stir the bake once it comes out of the oven.

  6. Top with crunchy chili onion oil and sliced green onions.

  7. Serve over rice and enjoy.

Tips for the Best Results

  • Make sure to nestle the gyoza well in the sauce, so they steam perfectly while baking.
  • Use fresh baby spinach instead of frozen for a brighter flavor and better texture.
  • Keep an eye on the bake in the last few minutes — you want the gyoza to be heated through but not overcooked.
  • Opt for low-sodium soy sauce if you're watching sodium intake; it works just as well.
  • Add an extra splash of coconut milk for a creamier sauce if you like.

Variations & Substitutions

  • Swap the gyoza for frozen dumplings filled with chicken or vegetables for a different flavor.
  • Try using almond milk or oat milk if you're looking for a dairy-free option.
  • Add a spoonful of sriracha to the sauce for a spicy kick.
  • Toss in some diced bell peppers or snap peas for an extra crunch and color.
  • Experiment with other sauces, like teriyaki or a sweet chili blend, to change up the flavor profile.

Storing Leftovers

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. This dish is not recommended for freezing due to the texture of the gyoza.

Reheating

Reheat in the oven at 350°F for about 15 minutes, covered with foil to keep the gyoza from drying out. You can also reheat in the microwave at 50% power for 1-2 minutes, stirring halfway through.

Frequently Asked Questions
