Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Brown the ground beef in a skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks. Add diced bell pepper if using, and season with Kinder’s Buttery Garlic & Herb; drain any excess grease.
Cut each puff pastry sheet into 3 sections.
Add the beef mixture and shredded cheddar cheese to one side of each pastry piece.
Lightly brush water around the edges, fold the pastry over the filling, and crimp the edges with a fork.
Whisk the egg with 1 teaspoon water and brush over the tops of the pastries. Cut a small slit in the top of each one.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown. Let rest for about 5 minutes.
Mix all Big Mac sauce ingredients together and serve on the side for dipping.
Tips for the Best Results
- Make sure your puff pastry is fully thawed for best results.
- Don't overfill the pastries to prevent leaking during baking.
- Keep an eye on the pastries towards the end to ensure they don't over-brown.
Variations & Substitutions
- Swap ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Add sautéed mushrooms or onions for extra flavor.
- Use a different cheese, like pepper jack, for a spicy kick.
Storing Leftovers
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. They're not recommended for freezing as the pastry may become soggy.
Reheating
Reheat in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes to keep the puff pastry crispy. Avoid microwaving as it can make them chewy.
